What is a Sim Card?
A Sim Card is a small device that you insert in your phone in the given slot to activate your mobile connection and obtain a number. It is the Sim Card that enables all the functions of the phone. Switch your brand new phone on and all that you see is a request, “Insert Sim Card”. Only, if you enter a Sim Card, you will be able to talk or at least use a few of the features. Sim Cards are used for both Post Paid schemes as well as Prepaid Schemes.
Prepaid Sim Cards
Buying a Sim Card depends on the connection or the service provider. There are various prepaid offers and schemes with which you can decide from. You can also make use of the rate cutting schemes which can reduce your call rates. There are various SMS Schemes that help you stay in touch with your friends or send forward messages. In case, you do not want to call and waste your account balance, you can simply text messages to your friends.
Post Paid Sim Cards
Using a Postpaid Sim Card means to pay regular bill month after month. Postpaid schemes are more suitable for business persons and elderly people as they do not find joy in texting or messaging. SMSs are available for some cost like cost per SMS etc. Or for a pre-agreed additional sum which will be incurred on the bill, you will get some free messages for each month.
Postpaid schemes have much lesser options than prepaid which are actually rigid in nature when compared to the prepaid. Postpaid schemes are for ones who have long business conversations.
The word or acronym SIM Card stands for “Subscriber Identity Module”.
